Everything you say makes me turn grey
I can’t stand the faces you wear on yours through the day
Tattoos of Mary, peace signs and charms
Your eyes are a grave he made into his backyard
Diamonds are hanging from strands of your hair
Everyone loves you and everyone shares
Your skin is a carnival, open hands untie
But no one can catch you in the middle of the night
You’re a drugstore, you’re a savior,
You bind up our wounds, you’re the future
You’re a hero, you’re a sorrow
You’re midnight’s velcro moon
You take best friends as lovers you keep them so close
While you love one the other is holding a rose
You’re so free and so beautiful they’re sure to recall
When they’ve lost you and each other and have nothing at all
chorus
You’re a lover, a story, the faintest tragedy
The city is burning and you’re underneath
O darlin’ I’ve got his voice on my tape recorder
You took the boy and made him a steel hearted monster
You were playing you’re playing dumb twenty-nothing and
Now there’s a fracture where once there was something

It's hard to pick a favourite track. This is the only album i have so far deemed as "perfect", where every track, even the intro, is just a masterpiece in its own right. From the hard hitting Perturbator's Theme to the emotional title track, its 68 minutes of perfection. 10/10. connivingkhajiit
